Most people, even die hard gamers, don’t know there is an easy and affordable way to get into next-gen gaming on Xbox. This meant some heavy education when it came to the fairly new Xbox All Access gaming experience and what it included. In one ad, we needed to let people know they could get the latest hardware (Series X or S) and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. In order to do this, we had to ensure that the visuals, messaging, and product worked together to tell a story that’s more than the sum of its parts. All this with little real-estate to do it.
I started in the concepting phase to bring this unique-to-Xbox All Access visual identity to life. I worked closely with our clients to ensure character guidelines were met and the design portrayed all that the program had to offer while keeping the console front and center. After receiving final client sign-off, I then laid out the site header, paid social and online advertising units using the art. The final step was concepting motion design and managing our animation partner to bring it all to life.
